Doctors

Tom Ballard, O.D. is a native of Dallas and attended Abilene Christian University and the University of Houston. He received his doctorate of optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he also completed postgraduate studies in ocular therapeutics.

Dr. Ballard has been in private practice in Dallas since 1985 and is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. He currently serves on the board of directors of First Eye Care, Inc., and is the managing partner of Infinity Laser Vision Associates. He is also an adjunct professor for the University of Houston College of Optometry and has a special interest in laser vision correction.

Dr. Ballard, his wife Melinda, and their three children currently reside in Plano. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and participating in his children’s activities.

Lori Bourque, O.D. joined First Eye Care in 1997 after graduating from University of Houston College of Optometry. In addition to her extensive experience with co-management of excimer laser refractive patients, Dr. Bourque also specializes in therapeutic treatment and management of ocular infections and injuries. Dr. Bourque is licensed by both the Texas Board and National Examiners in Optometry. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.

Dr. Bourque and her husband, Dr. John Wimbish, currently live in Allen with their three children. After hours, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her family.
